Bernd Haas Solo – Empty room

A crossover from jazz to psychedelic rock all the way to classical music is the only way to describe Bernd Haas’s solo project. The original idea for this long-term undertaking was generated by the question, “What sounds can be produced by an amplified acoustic guitar?” Bernd Haas’s concept behind it all was to make his music attain the greatest possible sound through simple, effect-enhancing devices. The initial results can be heard on the solo CD “Blue Recordings in an Empty Room” (2011, OFFICE4MUSIC). The current solo program was presented by Bernd Haas with resounding success at the Festival of Culture der Camerata Europaea in 2018. Since then he has been a regular guest at this popular Easter festival in Tirol.

Bernd Haas enchants his listeners unflaggingly through his creativity, imagination and profound craftsmanship. Sound dimensions which have never been heard before come to light, surprise music lovers, as when – to name only a couple of examples – a serene ballad transmutes into a groovy, swinging jazz solo or a traditional blues number dovetails with a thunderstorm of guitar, only to dissolve in a distant galaxy.
